Terms of Sale
Last updated: September 2026. This is the English version of the French terms; if the two differ, the French text prevails.
1. Purpose
These terms govern the sale of the "Rupteur Premium" license: digital content that unlocks the full engine garage and the manual transmission in the Rupteur web app. The seller is Arthur Verne, sole proprietor, France (see the legal notice).
2. Price
The price is shown in euros or in US dollars, depending on the payment page, and is the full price you pay (French VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French tax code; no US sales tax is collected). The launch price of 4.99 replaces the regular price of 9.99 for the first 5,000 licenses sold; after that, the regular price applies. A license bought at the launch price carries the same rights and the same updates. It is a one-time payment: no subscription, no recurring fee.
3. Order and payment
Payment is made online through Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay). No card data ever reaches our servers. The order is final once Stripe confirms the payment.
4. Delivery
The license is delivered immediately after payment: either the paired car unlocks by itself (purchase by QR code), or a license code is shown on the confirmation page and emailed to you, to be entered in the app in the car. One license covers one car; if you change cars, the transfer is free on request by email. The code can be retrieved at any time with the email used for payment.
5. Refunds and right of withdrawal
Rupteur Premium is digital content supplied immediately: by paying, you ask for immediate delivery and, where a statutory withdrawal period would otherwise apply (EU and UK consumers), you expressly waive it. The free version lets you try the complete sound engine before buying. If Premium does not work in your car, write to us: we fix it or refund you.
6. License
The license is personal, tied to one car, and valid for life on current and future versions of Rupteur. It transfers no intellectual property: copying, reselling, decompiling, or extracting the code or the sound models is prohibited. A license used in clear breach of these rules may be deactivated after we contact you.
7. Warranty
Consumers in the European Union benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content. Wherever you live, if something is defective, write to contact@rupteur.app: you are entitled to a fix or, failing that, a refund. Nothing in these terms limits the rights your local consumer law gives you.
8. Responsible use
Rupteur is a sound ambience. The driver alone remains responsible for their driving, for obeying traffic laws, and for keeping a volume that lets them hear their surroundings (sirens, horns). Operate the app only while parked.
9. Availability
The app works offline once loaded. The seller strives to keep the activation service available; a temporary outage does not affect licenses already activated.
10. Disputes
These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the mandatory protections of the country where you live. We will always look for an amicable solution first: write to the contact address above. Rupteur is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by Tesla, Inc.
11. Advertising trackers and your privacy choices
This site can load two advertising trackers to measure how well our ads work: the Meta pixel, for our ads on Facebook and Instagram, and the TikTok pixel, for our ads on TikTok. They send Meta and TikTok your IP address, the pages of rupteur.app you visit, a browser identifier, and three events: listening to the sound sample, reaching the payment page, and the purchase itself. Nothing else is collected, and we never send your email address or phone number to either company.
If you are in the United States, these trackers are active as soon as you arrive, with no banner. You can turn them off at any time with the Trackers button in the footer of every page; the choice is remembered in your browser. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, no tracker is loaded at all and nothing is shared. We treat that signal as a valid opt-out of the sharing of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the comparable laws of Colorado and Connecticut. We do not sell personal information for money.
If you are in Europe or the United Kingdom, nothing is loaded until you press Accept in the banner, whichever language version of the site you are reading. Which rule applies is decided by your device's time zone, never by your language or by the page you opened.
