Your Tesla is perfect. It's just missing an engine.
Get the feel of a combustion car back in your Tesla. A real engine, a real transmission, recomputed at every firing by the RST™ system: the car finally answers you.

And not a sound.
The fastest car you have ever owned tells you nothing.
Not a recording.
An engine.
The others speed up a recording. Here, every firing is computed the instant the crankshaft calls for it.

RST™ Rupteur Sound Technology
What runs in there
A sped-up recording gives itself away in ten minutes. Rupteur runs an engine.
Five-cylinder · cold start, pull, overrun, back on throttle 0:21
On headphones, or in the car. A phone speaker cannot produce the low end: it strips out exactly what makes an engine.
- Every firing in its placeFiring order, uneven angles, fixed resonances in the manifold.
- A real transmission, not a sliderOriginal ratios and final drive, clutch slip when pulling away, kickdown held while your foot stays down, clonk when you get back on the throttle.
- Overrun, like the real thingYou lift off: injection cuts, the exhaust rumbles, the valves crackle. Switch off after a mountain pass and it ticks as it cools.
- GPS, and handled properlyAdaptive filter on its 9 Hz. Loaded up in a corner, the transmission holds its gear.
- At home in the TeslaSteering wheel scroll button, works offline, light by day and dark by night, without a single setting.
- The secret stays in the garageThe firing timing and the six calibrations are published nowhere.
Your Tesla is not your neighbor's
A RWD and a Performance do not push the same. Rupteur asks for your version at first start, and RST™ recalibrates four things at once.
- LoadFull throttle comes far sooner on a Performance. The revs say so.
- OverrunThe harder the regen bites, the more the exhaust rumbles when you lift.
- The shiftsThe transmission thresholds follow the way you gather speed.
- IdleWhen manoeuvring, regen decides everything at the bottom of the range.
Why this app exists
I was looking for this for my own car. It did not exist, so I built it.
Rupteur was born in my Model 3, a microphone set down in the cabin and the analyser open on the screen. Every engine goes through that, one by one: none stays in the garage without me signing it off by ear, at the wheel.
The five-cylinder is free because it is the most recognisable voice in the garage: a 400 hp 2.5 turbo, with the warble only an odd number of cylinders can make. Listen to it, you will see.
The garage in full
Four, five, six and eight cylinders. Each with its real ratios, its real final drive and its real rev range.
FREE
Five-cylinder 2.5 TFSI400 hp, warble, 7-speed S tronicYour next drive
You take the slip road and bury the throttle. The transmission drops two gears, the five-cylinder climbs, the limiter arrives. You lift at 130: injection cuts, the exhaust crackles.
Outside, nobody heard a thing. You just had fun on a slip road you take every morning.
What they say about it
Drivers who use it every day, not reviewers.
On the road in two minutes.
Rupteur reads the Tesla's GPS and plays through its audio system: the free demo opens in the car's browser, parked.

You are not in the car, and that is fine: take the address with you, it will be waiting on your next drive.

Questions asked before you
Do I have to install anything in the car?
No. Rupteur is a web app: it runs in the car's browser, caches itself and then works offline. No manufacturer access, no modification to the vehicle.
Which cars does it work on?
Tuned to the millimetre for the Model 3 and its twin the Model Y: screen, steering wheel scroll button, 9 Hz GPS, audio output. It asks for your version at first start and calibrates its behavior to it. It runs in any recent browser with GPS, but a Tesla is where it belongs.
Why €4.99 and not €9.99?
€9.99 is the price of Rupteur. €4.99 is the launch price, limited to the first 5,000 licenses: early buyers fund the rest of the garage and take the rough edges, so it is only fair they pay half. Past those 5,000 licenses the price goes back to €9.99, and those who paid €4.99 keep everything, for life.
Is this a subscription in disguise?
No. €4.99 once, lifetime license, updates included. If some option ever warranted another payment, it would be on top, never instead.
Does the sound come out of the car speakers?
Yes, through the car's own system, with the balance adjustable from the Tesla screen. The engine shows up as a media source: pressing the steering wheel scroll button even blips the throttle at a standstill.
What if I change cars?
Your license is tied to your car. Changing car? Write to contact@rupteur.app and we will transfer it. Your RUPT-XXXX-XXXX code can be found again at any time with the email you paid with, on the purchase page.
Can I get a refund?
That is what the free version is for: listen to the five-cylinder before paying. Once digital content has been delivered immediately, the right of withdrawal no longer applies (you waive it at payment, that is the rule for digital goods). A real problem: write to us, nobody is left with a license that does not work.
One last thing
The price goes back to €9.99 at the 5,000th license. Those who paid €4.99 keep everything, for life.
But start with the free one: the five-cylinder will decide for you. If it does nothing for you, you will have lost two minutes, and the silence is still waiting.
